Hi! I'm Andy, a graphic designer and illustrator with a focus on creating strong identities for clients of all different kinds.
From original idea to final design, I work closely with the client to understand their needs and deliver design which helps them to tell their stories and build their brands.
My Story
I have a background which spans all different design disciplines, with a focus on visual identity and illustration. In 2013 I moved to Helsinki, Finland, where I lived and worked in a design agency for 7 years. In 2020 I moved to Glasgow, where I worked for 5+ years for a design collective focussing on exhibition design and identity.
Now I work on all kinds of design projects for clients across different industries, from visual identity, UI design to products and packaging.

Visual identity
I specialise in creating visual identites that help clients to bring their stories to life. Whether its is a consumer brand or an exhibition identity, the core is always the same: understanding the clients needs and working closely together throughout the design process.
Interpretation
With a background in interpretation design for museums and temporary exhibitions, I can design interpretation of all different kinds. This includes interpretation panels, wayfinding and signage, as well as full scale wall vinyl graphics that transform spaces.
Illustration
From hand drawn illustrations to digital art and characters, I can design all kinds of illustrations for different clients. Illustration can often be a great way to build a brand's personality and strengthen visual identity.
UI Design & Websites
I have created websites and UI design for clients from different industries including Shinty (Camanachd Association), Oranta Equus and RiCruden. Website design often runs alongside creating the visual identity.
Packaging
With a design agency background, I have extensive experience in creating packaging solutions for individual products as well as large scale clients. From diecut outlines to final packaging on the shelf.
Animation
Whether it is animating a logo, an illustrated character or scene, I have experience in creating animations. Even subtle animation can give an extra dimension and interactivity to an otherwise static design.
